World Polio Day - Speaker (Brad Butt)

Oct 24, World Polio Day, was marked at today's special joint luncheon meeting (with Streetsville Rotary) with special guest speaker, MP for Mississauga-Streetsville, Brad Butt.

Brad Butt was our distinguished Speaker at Rotary today and he updated us on Canada's commitment to eradicate Polio world-wide by 2018.  In a special joint meeting with the Streetsville Rotary Club, attended by many guests, including Mississauga Mayor Hazel McCallion, Mississauga Food Bank's Chris Hatch and D7080's Hajra Wilson, our club celebrated the on-going efforts by Rotary International and it's "End Polio Now" campaign.  Rotary has reaffirmed it's commitment to polio eradication and the Canadian government and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation have been important partners in this endeavour.
