Charu Shankar - Pankaja

On August 25th, our club was treated to a presentation by Charu Shankar. Charu is a singer trained in the classical art form of Carnatic music and has performed to audiences in India and Canada.

Ms. Shankar is also raising funds to build a center for special needs children in the village of Ayikudy, India via Handi-care Intl., a registered Canadian charity.

Charu is holding a special concert on Saturday, September 30th at 6pm the Burnhamthorpe Library Theatre to raise funds for this cause.
