Al was a quiet soft spoken man of worldly experience from many corners. When he spoke, it was from a place of knowledge and guidance. Never a loud voice, just a steady calming force. He was a very active member of the Rotary club of Mississauga Meadowvale from June 1996 to September 2018. Over the years, Al held a number of positions, such as President (2005-06), Secretary and Foundation Chair, as well as being an active participant on the Community Services Committee.
He was instrumental in helping the club obtain funding through various grants for Mississauga based projects such as the clean up of the Osprey Marsh and Lake Wabukyane. Al played an important role in converting the Mississauga Meadowvale Rotary Park to be accessible.
Al had a passion for family, nature, photography and travel. He particularly enjoyed his summer weekends at his cottage.
His passing will be a great loss to our Rotary community.
